Basketball Recap: Eagle River Falls Despite Big Games from Beverly Reed and Gabby Palazzini

Eagle River lost against South Anchorage back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagle River Wolves fell 36-28 to the South Anchorage Wolverines. The Wolves' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Eagle River had strong showings from Gabby Palazzini, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Beverly Reed, who posted five points in addition to six boards and four steals. Reed has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Eagle River's record now sits at 2-7. As for South Anchorage, they moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
