Soccer Game Preview: Harvard-Westlake vs. Edison

The Harvard-Westlake Wolverines will square off against the Edison Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Harvard-Westlake comes in on four and Edison on seven.

Harvard-Westlake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Palmdale a 2-0 shutout. The Wolverines' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Meanwhile, Edison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Canyon on Wednesday.

Edison's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those eight contests. As for Harvard-Westlake, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Harvard-Westlake skirted past Edison 3-2 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Harvard-Westlake repeat their success, or does Edison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
