Basketball Recap: Loving Takes a Loss

If Loving was riding high fresh off their 63-25 takedown of Non Varsity Tournament Opponent last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Loving Falcons had to suffer through a 77-33 loss at the hands of the Texico Wolverines. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Despite the loss, Loving still got an impressive performance from Tristen Onsurez, who went 9 of 19 en route to 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Allen, who posted six points.

Loving's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Texico, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Loving wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-41 loss against New Mexico Military Institute on the 21st. As for Texico, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eunice at 7:00 p.m.
