Football Recap: Northeast Lauderdale's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

It was a classic North v. South duel when Northeast Lauderdale faced off against Southeast Lauderdale on Thursday. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 20-0 shutout. The Trojans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 37-7).

Jourdin Williams threw for 118 yards on 11 of 23 attempts. Calvin Scott was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards.

Northeast Lauderdale has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points this season. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Northeast Lauderdale will be playing at home against Forest at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they will head out on the road to square off against Newton at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
