Football Recap: Ripon Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ripon Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Sonora Wildcats 56-18 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-14 back in October.

Although Ripon Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Daniel Lambdin, Carson Cho, and Mason Tameling.

Sonora got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tommy Sutton out in front who rushed for 155 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Sutton has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Byington, who gained 138 total yards and three touchdowns.

Ripon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Sonora, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Ripon Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sonora, they will be playing at home against Woodcreek at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Timberwolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
