Jefferson's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ottoville Big Green a 22-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jefferson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ottoville, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will host Antwerp at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Archers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ottoville, they will welcome Continental at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Big Green's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
