Basketball Recap: South Central Calhoun Takes a Loss

South Central Calhoun was the 68-45 winner over Newell-Fonda when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The South Central Calhoun Titans fell to the Newell-Fonda Mustangs 43-39. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Central Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Newell-Fonda, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Central Calhoun will square off against Southeast Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Southeast Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Newell-Fonda, they will face off against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
