Baseball Recap: Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha Takes a Loss

If Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Richfield on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Champlin Park Rebels on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Aasen, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Aasen's first of the season.

Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Champlin Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha will face off against Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Champlin Park, they will take on Coon Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
