Basketball Recap: Kennedy Titans vs. Watsonville Wildcatz
Kennedy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Watsonville Wildcatz. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Titans still had to take the loss.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Watsonville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will face off against Amador Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Amador Valley's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Kennedy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for Watsonville, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hollister at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. Hollister knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Watsonville likes a good challenge.
