Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Christian Falls Short of Cardinal Gibbons in the Playoffs

Atlantic Christian and Cardinal Gibbons squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Atlantic Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 3-0.

Despite the loss, Atlantic Christian still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Gonzalez, who had 18 assists and 11 digs. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 18 or more in each of the last ten games he's played.

Atlantic Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Atlantic Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will venture away from home to square off against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight.
