Basketball Recap: Stephenson Starts off Right with Win over Ola

Stephenson took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over the Ola Mustangs.

Antonio King was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 86% from the field on his way to 19 points. Reginald Smith was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Despite the loss, Ola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jalen Watkins posted 14 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Johnnie Davis, who scored nine points.

Coming up, Stephenson will be playing at home against Redan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ola, they will venture away from home to face off against Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
