Baseball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Berthoud Spartans, falling 19-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 last Saturday.

Northridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cason Cranson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Berthoud, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Coming up, Northridge will challenge Thompson Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Berthoud, they will head out on the road to take on Brush at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
