Basketball Recap: Zion Jean-Louis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln Park Academy over John Carroll Catholic

Lincoln Park Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 54-35 bruising from the John Carroll Catholic Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-18 back in November of 2024.

Lincoln Park Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zion Jean-Louis, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Geno Ingram, who had seven points and four steals.

Among those leading the charge was Brandon James, who went 5 for 9 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Ruiz, who put up four points along with seven boards and five blocks.

Lincoln Park Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for John Carroll Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Lincoln Park Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-31 loss against Port St. Lucie on the 21st. As for John Carroll Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-52 win against Highlands Christian on the 20th.
