Softball Recap: Basic Comes Up Short

Basic fell victim to Green Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Gators, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost nine in a row.

Basic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mercedes Escarcega, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Basic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Green Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Basic and Green Valley will both be playing Doral Academy Red Rock the next time they take the field. The Gators will head out to face the Dragons at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wolves will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
