After a string of five wins, Klein Oak's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Ridge War Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Carly Zahn was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Havemann, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Klein Oak's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Oak Ridge, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-3.

Klein Oak wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Cy-Fair on the 27th. As for Oak Ridge, they will face off against Tomball Memorial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Tomball Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
