Preview: Arlington Catholic vs. St. Mary's
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for St. Mary's. On Saturday they take on Arlington Catholic at Hormel Stadium at 3:00 PM. St. Mary's will be strutting in after a win while Arlington Catholic will be stumbling in from a defeat.
After having lost a blowout in their contest two weeks ago against Catholic Memorial, St. Mary's were happy to find some success last Friday. St. Mary's enjoyed a cozy 40-22 victory over Cardinal Spellman.
Meanwhile, we expected Arlington Catholic to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Bishop Fenwick, and they did. Arlington Catholic found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-42 punch to the gut against Bishop Fenwick.
St. Mary's were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past Arlington Catholic 52-14. Will St. Mary's repeat their success, or does Arlington Catholic have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
