Football Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

If King's Academy was riding high fresh off their 40-10 takedown of Palmetto Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders by a score of 74-72 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (40), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Gregory Lihan produced another solid performance rushing for 238 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry for Jefferson Davis Academy. With that strong performance, Lihan is now averaging an impressive 128.2 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Dalton Nix, who rushed for 70 yards and three scores.

King's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.
