Basketball Recap: San Juan Hills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

San Juan Hills was the 59-46 winner over Woodbridge when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell 68-57 to the Warriors on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Warriors are ranked 92nd).

When it comes to explaining why San Juan Hills lost, don't look at Nicholas Francik. Despite the final result, he shot 67% from the field en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. Kamran Aziz was another key player, putting up ten points.

Woodbridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiden Sabino led the charge by going 6-for-8 on his way to 18 points. Sabino is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Garrett DiCostanzo, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 15 points and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for San Juan Hills and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Woodbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

San Juan Hills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-55 win against Jurupa Hills on the 8th. As for Woodbridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-47 victory against Beckman on the 13th.
