Bethesda Christian came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Speedway, but Drew Matelic wouldn't allow it. The Sparkplugs walked away with a 59-47 victory over the Patriots on Tuesday thanks in part to Matelic, who shot 67% from the field en route to 26 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The matchup was his 17th in a row with at least 15 points.

Owen Seaver was another key player, putting up four points and ten boards. Speedway is undefeated when Seaver posts eight or more rebounds, but 3-8 otherwise.

Speedway now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Bethesda Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Speedway will face off against Indian Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethesda Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Seton Catholic at 7:30 p.m. The Patriots will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.52 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
