Baseball Recap: Parrish Community's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

Parrish Community and Palmetto squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Parrish Community had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-2. The Bulls were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

Parrish Community got a good showing from Vince Barry, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Barry hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in March.

With the defeat, Parrish Community broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-5. As for Palmetto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-18.
