Football Game Preview: Manhattan Tigers vs. Broadwater Bulldogs

The Manhattan Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Broadwater Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Broadwater will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Manhattan extended their winning streak to five last Friday. The Tigers never let Columbus get on the board and left with a 37-0 win. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Broadwater, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Jefferson, posting a 47-7 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Broadwater's win came from a few key players Manhattan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Marek Easter, who rushed for 130 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. Those 130 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Broadwater also got help from Tannen Tuffelmire, who showed off his sure hands for 86 receiving yards.

Broadwater was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Manhattan's record now sits at 5-0. As for Broadwater, their record is now 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Manhattan against Broadwater in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 34-7 win. In that contest, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
