Sequatchie County waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-2 W against the Walker Valley Mustangs.

Sequatchie County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jack Evitts led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Another thorn in Walker Valley's side was Kason Hicks, who picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Sequatchie County's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Walker Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Sequatchie County will square off against Giles County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Walker Valley, they will challenge Rhea County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
