Evangelical Christian came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to Northpoint Christian. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Evangelical Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Gates, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Northpoint Christian, bringing their record up to 7-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Evangelical Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
