 Purchase Line came into Thursday's   game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Penns Manor Comets  a   3-0 shutout  on Thursday. This was payback for Purchase Line, who suffered  a  20-7  loss the last time these two teams met.
  Devlan Kordish was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Kordish was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing six bases while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Austin Chambers, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Purchase Line's win  ended  a  19-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-18. As for Penns Manor, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost eight of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season.
 Purchase Line does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Penns Manor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Shamokin at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. West Shamokin is coming into the  match with six straight  victories on the road,  so Penns Manor will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
