Basketball Game Preview: Leon Cougars vs. Union Grove Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 14 games.

Leon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 42-30 victory over Kerens.

Meanwhile, Union Grove entered their tilt with Woden on Friday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 34-21.

Union Grove's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points over those games. As for Leon, their victory bumped their record up to 27-5.

Leon was able to grind out a solid win over Union Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2014, winning 47-38. Will Leon repeat their success, or does Union Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
