Baseball Game Preview: Muleshoe Mules vs. Dimmitt Bobcats

Muleshoe is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Dimmitt a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Muleshoe Mules will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dimmitt Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Muleshoe blew Slaton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Slaton got their revenge. The Mules fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Dimmitt took on Idalou on Friday. The Bobcats fell 9-6 to the Wildcats.

Rudy Fuentes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Dimmitt is 3-1 when Fuentes posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Diego Villareal, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Muleshoe now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Dimmitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
