Basketball Recap: Hempfield Area Wins Going Away Against Greensburg Salem

Hempfield Area won against Greensburg Central Catholic on Friday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Hempfield Area Spartans were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions. The matchup marked the Spartans' most dominant win of the season so far.

The victory made it two in a row for Hempfield Area and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Greensburg Salem, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hempfield Area is taking a road trip to take on Imani Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Imani Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Hempfield Area likes a good challenge. As for Greensburg Salem, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Allegheny at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
