Basketball Recap: Parshall/North Shore Comes Up Short

Parshall/North Shore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Powers Lake/Burke Central. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Powers Lake/Burke Central are ranked 28th).

Parshall/North Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Powers Lake/Burke Central, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Coming up, Parshall/North Shore will welcome White Shield at 7:15 p.m. on February 18th. As for Powers Lake/Burke Central, they will challenge Our Redeemer's Christian at 7:15 p.m. on February 18th. Our Redeemer's Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Powers Lake/Burke Central likes a good challenge.
