With a playoff win on the line, Steele Canyon rose to the challenge on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Helix Highlanders 22-19. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Highlanders on their field since October 26, 2018.

Gavin Caha was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 231 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards (21).
