Baseball Recap: Marsh Valley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After flying high against Bear Lake last Friday, Marsh Valley came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 13-5 to the Burley Bobcats on Tuesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this game were averaging 2.36 runs allowed.

Marsh Valley moved to 12-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Burley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Marsh Valley will face off against American Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Burley, they will challenge Mountain Home at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
