Softball Recap: Westminster Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Westminster won the last time they faced Godinez Fundamental and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions walked away with a 13-8 win over the Grizzlies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Jhassleen Robles was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Alyna Guerrero was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Westminster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Westminster pushed their record up to 11-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Godinez Fundamental, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
