Baseball Game Preview: T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets vs. Dorman Cavaliers

T.L. Hanna has won eight straight games at home, while Dorman has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets will host the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. T.L. Hanna's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Dorman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, it was close, but T.L. Hanna sidestepped J.L. Mann for a 3-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Easton Thomas looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Robinson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Dorman and James F. Byrnes meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Cavaliers fell 10-7 to the Rebels.

T.L. Hanna's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Dorman, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

T.L. Hanna beat Dorman 4-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
