Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Springstead

Springstead strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 48-38 win over the West Port Wolf Pack. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 61-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Springstead's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariana Willoughby led the charge by putting up 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Willoughby has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: she's posted one of at least 50% every time she's hit the court this season. Briana Coleman was another key player, scoring ten points and six boards.

Springstead's record is now 3-0. As for West Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Springstead will face off against Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Port, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on December 3.
