Baseball Recap: Willows Takes a Loss

Willows made up a huge gap compared to their last game against East Nicolaus, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Honkers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Honkers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Willows' defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for East Nicolaus, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Willows will head out to face off against Durham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Honkers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for East Nicolaus, they will venture away from home to take on Wheatland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
