Volleyball Recap: Wayne Pioneers vs. Chapmanville Regional Tigers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wayne had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Chapmanville Regional Tigers 3-0. The victory was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Wayne's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Chapmanville Regional between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Courtney Thompson, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last four games she's played.

Wayne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 20-17-4 record this season. As for Chapmanville Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 15-17.
