Volleyball Recap: Menlo School Knights vs. Salinas Cowboys
If Menlo School was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Crystal Springs Uplands on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the Salinas Cowboys by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Cowboys from their previous meeting back in October of 2022.

Allison Yu and Ava Wang certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Yu had three digs and three aces, while Wang had 18 digs. Wang is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played. Mia Bowers also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Menlo School's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Salinas, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Coincidentally, Menlo School and Salinas will both be playing Sequoia the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Ravens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cowboys will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
