There's no place like home for Northpoint Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Munford Cougars with a sharp 10-0 win on Friday. Considering the Trojans have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ada Woodruff made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Woodruff was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Faith Ryan, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Ella Myrick was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Northpoint Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Northpoint Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Munford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Coming up, Northpoint Christian will host Evangelical Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Munford, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Munford Cougars take on Brighton Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brighton will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
