Recap: Parsippany Redhawks vs. Whippany Park Wildcats
Even though the Parsippany Redhawks have not done well against the Whippany Park Wildcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Parsippany came out on top against Whippany Park by a score of 60-51. For Parsippany, this counts as revenge for the 76-64 defeat Whippany Park walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Parsippany's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Charlie Cordasco led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cordasco has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Niedermaier, who scored 19 points.
Parsippany's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Whippany Park, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Parsippany will head out on the road to square off against Morristown-Beard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Parsippany focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Whippany Park, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. Whippany Park is coming into the match with four straight losses at home, meaning Mountain Lakes will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
