Soccer Recap: Highland Park vs. Niles West

After flying high against North Shore Country Day on Friday, Highland Park came back down to earth. The Giants fell 4-2 to the Niles West Wolves on Tuesday. If Highland Park were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Niles West when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elliot Shields and Rafi Rush scored both of Highland Park's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Highland Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Niles West, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6-1.

Highland Park wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Carmel on the 7th. As for Niles West, they are taking a road trip to challenge Glenbrook North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenbrook North will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Niles West surely won't give up without a fight.
