Basketball Recap: Boyd Comes Up Short

Boyd came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Paradise Panthers, falling 69-17. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Paradise, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Boyd will take on rival Callisburg at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Paradise is set to challenge their familiar foe Whitesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
