Volleyball Recap: Hebron Hawks vs. Westville Blackhawks
Hebron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Westville Blackhawks. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Blackhawks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Hebron started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-6, 25-16.
Myleigh Weaver had an outrageously good game for Westville as she had nine digs, seven kills, and two aces. That's the most kills Weaver has posted since back in September of 2024. Emma Ross was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.
Hebron's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Westville, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hebron will challenge rival Morgan Township at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westville is set to square off against their familiar foe Kouts at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
