Baseball Game Preview: Blind Brook Trojans vs. Westlake Wildcats

The Blind Brook Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Westlake Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Blind Brook managed to slip by Pleasantville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Panthers on Wednesday, falling 9-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Panthers since May 4, 2015.

Jack Pastor was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Westlake gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They blew past Hendrick Hudson 11-0.

Mikey Sica made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Sica was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Keith Haecker was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. JT Finan was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Blind Brook's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Westlake, their record is now 1-0.
