Basketball Recap: Cabell Midland Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Cabell Midland waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 76-55 margin over the Hurricane Redskins. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 99-90 back in January.

Cabell Midland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marshall Summers, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Summers a new career-high. Ethan Blackburn was another key player, putting up 18 points and six boards.

Cabell Midland was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hurricane only seven assists.

Hurricane's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Willis, who went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jojo Greene, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Cabell Midland's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Cabell Midland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-60 loss against Parkersburg on the 7th. As for Hurricane, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-58 defeat against Huntington on the 7th.
