Basketball Recap: Southwest Minnesota Christian Takes a Loss

If Southwest Minnesota Christian was feeling good fresh off their 71-37 takedown of Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles were beaten by the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks 80-45 on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled against the Blackjacks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Southwest Minnesota Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Dawson-Boyd, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest Minnesota Christian will head out to face off against Mountain Lake/Comfrey at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dawson-Boyd, they will challenge MACCRAY at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dawson-Boyd is facing MACCRAY at the right time seeing as MACCRAY is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
