Baseball Recap: Westmoreland Wins Going Away Against Oneida

Westmoreland's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Oneida Indians as the Westmoreland Eagles made off with an 8-2 victory.

Aaron Freeman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Freeman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Fuller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Grant Lilly was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Westmoreland's record is now 7-1. As for Oneida, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Westmoreland will take on Webb at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oneida, they will face off against William Blount at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
