Volleyball Recap: The Burlington School Comes Up Short

The Burlington School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Burlington Christian Academy Royals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-16.

Lila Fowler paced The Burlington School's offense, picking up five kills. Fowler got some help from Eryn Timmons and her nine assists. Makari DuBose controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Burlington Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Wilson led the charge by getting seven digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Wilson a new career-high. Ali Moldt was another key player, getting seven assists and five aces.

The Burlington School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Burlington Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, The Burlington School will challenge Clover Garden School at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burlington Christian Academy, they will square off against Woods Charter at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
