Meanwhile, Troy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Aviators out 3-2.
Troy wouldn't go down easily and took Butler into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12.
Wayne has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Troy, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
