Minooka is 7-2 against Plainfield Central since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

If Plainfield Central heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Minooka took over last week. The Indians walked away with a 3-1 victory over Joliet West on Tuesday. Given Minooka's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Joliet West are ranked 91st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Plainfield Central gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Joliet West, sneaking past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Plainfield Central as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Plainfield Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-3. As for Minooka, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-1.

Minooka beat Plainfield Central by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
