Basketball Recap: Golden City Piles Up the Points Against Bronaugh

Golden City won the last time they faced Bronaugh and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden City Eagles blew past the Bronaugh Wildcats 78-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Golden City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Spencer Parrill, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Menadue, who posted 18 points and five rebounds.

Parrill wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Golden City was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Golden City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.3 points. As for Bronaugh, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Golden City will head out on the road to take on McAuley Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Golden City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully McAuley Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Bronaugh, they will welcome Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
