The Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors lost to the War Hill Christian Academy Warriors back in December of 2020, but the Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors didn't allow the War Hill Christian Academy Warriors the same satisfaction on Thursday. Old Suwanee Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against War Hill Christian Academy and snuck past 53-51.
Old Suwanee Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jon Rojas led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. Rojas hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Devin Courtney, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Old Suwanee Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for War Hill Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Old Suwanee Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Killian Hill Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Killian Hill Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for War Hill Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against St. John Bosco Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John Bosco Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
